Defensive Driving Classes will be held on the following dates:
                  April        14 and 15
                  June        9 and 10
                  Sept        15 and 16
                  Nov.         3 and 4
All classes are held:  9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Cost:  $12 for AARP members - $14 for non-members
Participants who complete the two day class receive a certificate which enables them to receive a 5% reduction on their car insurance premium for a period of three years.  Checks should be made payable to AARP and given to the instructor.  Participants with 4 or more points on their license will have two points removed when they successfully complete the class.  Class is available to all licensed drivers.  Class space is limited.

PLEASE NOTE – ALL SEMINARS AND CLASSES TAKE PLACE IN THE “ROOM OF WELL BEING” WHICH IS LOCATED ON THE SECOND FLOOR.

Health Screenings

The Five Points Branch is pleased to announce that Overlook Hospital will be visiting our facility monthly to provide health screenings to our members and staff. Party YMCA Style!

Having a Birthday? Pool or Gym Parties are available at the YMCA!

Party includes 1 hour in our pool or gym and 1 hour in our spacious party room upstairs. The YMCA provides a host for your party, who will assist in supervision & assisting in the transition to the pool or gym area. The YMCA will also provide a party room with tables, chairs, and a small kitchen area; you bring the food, supplies and other party needs. Please call for more information and scheduling.

Health and Safety Courses at the YMCA

Community CPR

This course is designed to teach participants to recognize and care for respiratory and cardiac emergencies in infants, children and adults.

First Aid Basics

This course trains participants to become familiar with how to recognize and care for victims of illness and sudden injuries. Topics include emergency care for bleeding, poisoning and shock. This course does NOT teach care for respiratory or cardiac emergencies.
